How Four Colors Works

Four Colors aims to be the first player to get rid of all your cards by matching the top card of the discard pile, either by color or number. Players will have special action cards and wild cards to use to help them, which will add some more strategy and gameplay to every round.

Players take turns laying down a card that matches the color or number of the last card played. If a player has no cards to play, they must continue to draw from the deck until they draw a card they can play.

Special cards include Skip, Reverse, and Draw Two, which impact gameplay by either preventing a player from playing or forcing a player to draw multiple cards. Wild cards allow you to modify the current color and, more crucially, can tip the balance of the game.

Important Action Cards

• Draw Two: When played, the next player must draw two cards and their turn is skipped.
• Skip: When played, the next player must lose their turn.
• Reverse: When played, the direction of play has changed.
• Wild: Allows the player to select any color to continue.
• Wild Draw Four: Forces the next player to draw four cards and allows the player to change color; can only be played if no other card is playable.

Winning the Game

When a player has just one card remaining, they must press the '1' button to win. If a player forgets to press the '1' button, there is a penalty of two more cards drawn (part of the fun - but a crucial twist).
