You need to survive from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM and avoid any animatronic attacks. FNAF 2 is divided into multiple nights with increasing difficulty.

Successfully surviving a night means you complete the mission and prepare for the next night, where more animatronics appear and become unpredictable.

Weapons of darkness

In FNAF 2, you have several tools to help you deal with the animatronics:

• Surveillance cameras: Track the location of animatronics in hallways, rooms, and vents.
• Freddy masks: Disguise yourself as an animatronic employee, causing the animatronics to attack others instead of you.
• Flashlight: Illuminates dark areas, helping to spot hidden animatronics.
• Music box: Requires frequent winding to control the Puppet - if left unattended, the character will appear without any direct defense.

Moving ghosts

FNAF 2 features various types of animatronics, including Toy and Withered versions. By wearing masks, some animatronics can be fooled, while others require flashlight illumination or constant camera surveillance.

There are no fixed doors, so all room entrances are always open, forcing players to be constantly vigilant. You also need to understand each animatronic's behavior and characteristics to react promptly, avoid surprise attacks, and complete the night safely.
