Flexible controls

Drift Hunters' control system is designed to be friendly, yet still has enough space for advanced skills:

• The W/up arrow key is used to accelerate, S/down arrow is used to brake, and A and D are used to steer.
• Handbrake with the Space key lets you start the drift or adjust the trajectory while drifting.
• You can change the viewing angle with the C key for better observation.
• The manual system (Shift Up and Ctrl Down) allows more control if you require a more precise driving style.

Realistic drift mechanics

Drift Hunters uses a fairly realistic physics simulation because drifting is a smooth coordination between the throttle, steering, and weight distribution. Turning the steering wheel too hard will easily cause the car to lose control; holding the throttle too lightly will cause the vehicle to lose momentum. Longer drift combos increase the score multiplier, forcing the player to maintain stability when moving from one corner to the next.
